After vacationing here for more than a dozen years, Dick (a Mid-westerner) and Linda (a New Englander) decided to move here and open a Bed & Breakfast. This move fulfilled a life-long dream for Linda. Both former High-School Teachers and then a career in sales for Dick and a career as an Artistic Director in the Theatre for Linda, they both jumped ship in 2005 to move from Michigan to Maine and become Innkeepers. For years Linda had admired the house on Beach Street referring to it as "Her House" and even had Dick take pictures of it during a two-week stay in 1997. While vacationing here in July of 2002, they noticed "Her House" was for sale. In October of 2002, it was finally and officially "HER HOUSE!" Both Dick and Linda are people-centered and have always received rave reviews for their hospitality: whether it be a huge party or house guests for a week or two. On a typical day, you will find Linda making scones, folding sheets, or catching an occasional moment for a good book on the porch, or a stroll on the beach. Dick can usually be found around town showing off some of the nicest real estate in the area. A realtor with Perkins Real Estate in Ogunquit, he helps other people make their dreams come true. Both Linda and Dick have worked very hard to make 16 Beach Street B&B a comfortable beach house where you can relax and refresh in this "beautiful place by the sea."
